COLUMBIANA, OH – October 1, 2025 – CBC Global, a 131-year-old company with a world-class reputation for manufacturing precision, today announced the successful acquisition of the intellectual property (IP) for several key product lines from Specialty Steel and Alloys.
The acquired IP includes designs for the 10 ’gas buster, 20 ’gas buster, 2.5K psi sand separator, 5K psi sand separator, and the 5K psi cyclonic sand separator.
This strategic acquisition is the first official entry into the oil and gas market by CBC Global. The designs acquired by CBC Global are field-proven and widely accepted within the industry, where Specialty Steel and Alloys had built a strong name and successful track record.
CBC Global’s entry is backed by a legacy of extreme quality. The company has been trusted to manufacture critical components to exacting standards for the Aerospace and Pharmaceutical industries, and the Oil and Gas industry can expect the same high-quality work. CBC Global has held its ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) stamp for over 95 years, a testament to its commitment to quality and safety, and currently holds the 48th oldest active ASME stamp in existence.
“The high-quality products we’ll be manufacturing…will significantly improve most operations.”

Driving this expansion is Michael A. Koprivnak, President of CBC Global, who brings more than a decade of experience working in the Oil and Gas industry prior to joining the company.
“The high-quality products we’ll be manufacturing from the IP acquisition will meet or exceed the previous specs,” said Mr. Koprivnak. “They will significantly improve most operations.”
He added, “This move is a natural and powerful fit for CBC Global. We are thrilled to bring these proven, high-performance designs under our roof, leveraging our core strengths and manufacturing excellence to immediately serve this vital sector.”
